How to upgrade Outlook PST file format to Unicode884

Jamesanderson01 private msg quote post Address this user
I am currently using an older version of Microsoft Outlook that still relies on the ANSI PST file format. I have recently started facing limitations due to the 2GB file size restriction, and I am planning to upgrade to a newer version of Outlook, which supports the Unicode PST format with a much larger capacity. Can anyone guide me on how to upgrade or convert my existing ANSI PST file to the Unicode format without losing any data?

If your Outlook PST file is in old ANSI format, it cannot be larger than 2GB. But newer versions of Microsoft Outlook use Unicode format which can store more data (20GB+). So, it is important to upgrade PST file to Unicode format to avoid data loss and limitations.

A few days ago my old ANSI format Outlook PST file was crossing the 2GB limit and getting corrupted frequently. After a lot of research I tried Softaken Upgrade PST Tool and the result was great.
This tool upgrades old ANSI PST to new Unicode format without any data loss.
The interface is very simple – just select the file, choose the format and click on convert.
Performs well even for large PST files.

If anyone needs to use Outlook 2002 or earlier files in newer versions (like 2016, 2019, etc.), this tool is very helpful.
I tested with the trial version and later got the full version – hope it helps others too.
