|If you are remotely accessing a computer using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) Client, and you find that the text is pixelated, you may have found out by enabling ClearText clears up the session, almost as good as the local desktop.
However, when closing the RDP session that option will disable itself.
The solution is to option the RDP client, (before connecting) for "Font Smoothing" which is the same as ClearText.

Configure Font Smoothing for Remote Sessions

Windows Server 2008 R2 supports ClearType®, which is a technology for displaying computer fonts so that they appear clear and smooth, especially when you are using an LCD monitor.
An RD Session Host server running Windows Server 2008 R2 can provide ClearType functionality in a remote session when a client computer connects to the RD Session Host server by using Remote Desktop Connection (RDC).
ClearType functionality is referred to as font smoothing in Remote Desktop Connection.
Font smoothing is available if the client computer is running any of the following:
Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) and at least RDC 6.0
Windows XP with SP2 and at least RDC 6.0
Using font smoothing in a remote session will increase the amount of bandwidth used between the client computer and the RD Session Host server.
To make font smoothing available in a remote session
On the client computer, open Remote Desktop Connection. To open Remote Desktop Connection, click Start, point to All Programs, click Accessories, and then click Remote Desktop Connection.
In the Remote Desktop Connection dialog box, click Options.
On the Experience tab, select the Font smoothing check box.
Configure any remaining connection settings, and then click Connect.
