Configuring a Sonicwall firewall router for RingCentral service

This article will guide you on how to configure the SonicWall, to allow the RingCentral traffic into your network.

IMPORTANT: Changing your router's configuration is critical. For more information in configuring your router's settings, contact your router manufacturer for advanced support.

Accessing the router interface
Step 1:
Enter the router's IP address in the address bar of your web browser.

NOTE: To learn how to check your router's IP address, refer to your router documentation or contact your router manufacturer for support.
Step 2:
Enter your router's username and password.

Configuring the SonicWall Router's Firewall Settings
Step 1:
Go to Network > Services then click Add.

Name: RC DMZ Ports
Protocol: UDP(17)
Port Range: 1000-65500
Sub-Type: None
Step 2:
Go to Address Objects then click Add.

Name: RC Primary
Zone Assignment: WAN
Type: Range
Starting IP: 199.255.120.0
Ending IP: 199.255.123.255

Name: RC Secondary
Zone Assignment: WAN
Type: Range
Starting IP: 199.68.212.0
Ending IP: 199.68.215.255
Step 3:
Go to Firewall then click Add.Opening up RingCentral VoIP service-ports on the SonicWall

Action: Allow
From Zone: LAN
To Zone: WAN
Service: RC DMZ Ports
Source: Any

Destination: RC Primary
Users Allowed: All
Schedule: Always On
Enable Enable Logging
Enable Allow Fragmented Packets

Action: Allow
From Zone: LAN
To Zone: WAN
Service: RC DMZ Ports
Source: Any

Destination: RC Secondary
Users Allowed: All
Schedule: Always On
Enable Enable Logging
Enable Allow Fragmented Packets

Action: Allow
From Zone: WAN
To Zone: LAN
Service: RC DMZ Ports
Source: RC Primary
Destination: Any
Users Allowed: All
Schedule: Always On
Enable Enable Logging
Enable Allow Fragmented Packets

Action: Allow

Step 4:
Go to the VOIP Tab.
Uncheck Enable Consistent NAT
Uncheck Enable SIP Transformation

NOTE: If LAN to WAN and WAN to LAN are already setup to (Source: ANY, Destination: ANY, there's no need to do the settings)
