Import to eBay error resulting in: category selected is not a leaf category...

This will take place if you are importing data from a inventory management system or portal if you have not selected all the categories in the system that you are importing from.

I just did the Advertise items to sell on Ebay , and set it up . I changed my paypal account to a business account and everything . But now when I click on perfume, or jewelry , ect to transfer to ebay , I keep getting this message …… The category selected is not a leaf category. Edit your item and ensure category you have selected does not have any sub-categories. ~~ Does anyone know why it keeps saying that to me ? And do you know what a Leaf category is ? And why it keeps saying sub catagories too ? Please help , thankyou

Hi,

eBay only allows items to be listed in so-called “leaf” categories. What this means is that – on Bonanza – your item must be in a category that does not have any sub-categories. On the new item form, for example, this would mean filling in all the category boxes until there are none left.

If you have selected a leaf category and are still getting this message, please send a quick message to support@bonanza.com with the item and category and we can get it fixed for you.

*** So inside of your inventory page on Bonanza, select the Category form field / in which should show you more Sub Categories to select - as noted select all of them till you cannot select any more. This will resolve the issue.
