GFI Software™ today announced plans to spin off its Security Business Unit to form ThreatTrack Security, Inc. The company will focus on the continued growth and development of the VIPRE®, GFI SandBox™ and ThreatTrack™ solutions.

This was a strategic decision that will benefit all our partners. First, this move enables GFI to more strongly focus on our core set of solutions for small and medium businesses and managed services providers, as well as to focus our development resources on innovative, growth-oriented technologies, such as GFI Cloud™. Second, ThreatTrack Security will focus exclusively on developing high-end anti-malware solutions and be more responsive to the evolving security needs of our customers.

Both GFI and ThreatTrack Security will now be better positioned to provide you access to the leading solutions and services you need to more profitably capitalize on your customers’ IT demands.

Easy transition for partners
You don’t need to do anything. To make this transition as simple as possible for our partners, there will be no disruption to how we do business together, or changes to sales representatives, products you have access to, contact information or program offerings at this time.

Partner announcement:
Your GFI Partner Area ID and password also will remain unchanged, and your accounts will be accessible through www.gfi.com and www.threattracksecurity.com until further notice.

Look for communication from ThreatTrack Security as the new benefits, requirements and a new partner portal will be announced within the next few weeks. To learn more about our partner transition plan, please attend one of two webcasts scheduled for March 20. Additionally, you can reference our Partner FAQ for more details.

Thank you for your business and your continued support as we enter this new phase of our partnership.

Regards,
Walter Scott
CEO, GFI Software
